There has been a raised concern of the effects and hidden dangers of inhaling the chemical propylene glycol, which is widely used to mix with CBD vape oil. Propylene glycol is a thinning compound and is also the primary ingredient in a majority of nicotine-infused e-cigarette solutions. At high temperatures, propylene glycol converts into toxic nanoparticles which are known for causing damage to respiratory organs and said to cause cancer, asthma, and other illnesses.
I’ve done an incredible amount of research on CBD after someone suggested that I use it to treat a year long painful case of sciatica. I was at the end of my rope. The VA wouldn’t even diagnose the problem and the 3 Dr’s I saw on the outside all agreed that it was sciatica that needed surgery, they also agreed that my heart problems would make having surgery very risky. Another patient told about using CBD oil to treat the inflammation and gave me the name of the that he bought his from. I bought a 1000mg oz and probably took more than I needed to but by day 3 I could really feel the difference and by day 5 the pain was nearly gone! I take blood thinners for my heart problem and when the VA tested my blood it was dangerously thin! As it turns out taking CBD orally impacts the liver enzyme P-450, a vital enzyme for breaking down almost all medications! I have only found 2 CBD companies that know about it! I hope I got your attention and you should research it yourself (google) if you have to take medication everyday. If you don’t than don’t worry about it! The P-450 enzyme can actually cause your daily medications build up in your system and cause an overdose so please just check it out for yourself!
A lot of people might prefer vaping for a variety of reasons, be they practical or frivolous. For instance, you may want to use a vaporizer for your CBD hemp oil because it feels more authentic. Maybe you’re a smoker looking to quit, but you still want to hang out with your friends in the smoking section at work or while out on the town. Or perhaps you’re not a fan of the taste or consistency of CBD oil drops.
At first, try vaping 10mg of CBD on your first day. If you notice positive results, stay with that for a week or so. Again, it’s important to remember that everybody’s body is different. If you don’t “feel” anything, try 20mg the next day. Work up to about 30mg of CBD per day, once a week is enough for most users to feel relaxed and clear-headed.
Of course, if you’re leaning towards embracing the vape life, make sure you’ve done your research on the concentrate you intend to consume. Without sufficient regulatory oversight in the emerging vape and cannabis industries, few companies have been able to produce a clear and homogenous CBD solution, so the milligram amount in CBD products is often inconsistent with the amount claimed on the label. Be sure to ask for both in-house and third-party test results from your chosen source to ensure you’re getting a quality product!
CNN first covered this story in 2013, and it was featured in CNN medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s recent documentary on medical marijuana and hemp CBD oil. This has sparked a lot of interest in cannabidiol.

So why is vaping more efficient? The answer comes down to human biology. CBD, like any compound, needs to reach certain receptors (called cannabinoid receptors) inside your brain and body. In order to do this, the CBD has to get into your bloodstream. Ingesting the chemical takes longer, because it passes through your digestive system to be metabolized by your liver before finally dispersing in your bloodstream. The lungs, on the other hand, work differently.
THC is the psychoactive component in cannabis, the compound that gets users high. Unlike THC, CBD does not make the user high but is widely-recognized as having medicinal value as a dietary supplement. CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC, or none at all (RSHO™ X-oil).
And the same goes for CBD “vapers” – if there is a patient out there who is vaping CBD as a means to achieve relief from a medical condition, do you think that the “safety” of their oil is the first thing on their mind? Highly doubtful.
Yes I use my vape pen and fill it with cbd, I have vaped for a year also to keep from smoking, I have RA and a fractured back so the first time I tried it it helped with my pain and no bad effects, it tastes great too but it doest have the nictotine in it so I keep one vape pen for cbd and one for my reg nictotine fix filled now.

CBD has the potential to positively affect a lot of things, from pain perception to anxiety, nausea and mood. These effects are explored in more detail in these papers from the journal Epilepsia and the British Journal of Pharmacology. And a simpler but still comprehensive explanation can be found on the Elixinol website.
Most hemp oils are made from the seeds of the plant, and it’s mainly used for cooking and for the production of things like plastics, biofuels and soaps. Hemp is technically the same plant as the marijuana most people know – they’re both types of Cannabis sativa – but it’s generally much lower in THC and higher in CBD. However, when people make hemp oil, they use seeds, and the resulting CBD content is very low. After all, they aren’t really interested in CBD, and it’s legal to use the seeds to make oil under federal law.

Dosage isn’t really a concern for CBD topicals; just use as much as you would with any other lotion or balm. The container or website you purchase from may tell you how much CBD is in the whole container, which gives you a basis for how much you’re using, but as always, it’s best to start with a little and then increase it until you feel satisfied.

It’s important to note, however, that CBD oil is only permitted in states that have adopted a medical or recreationally legal approach towards cannabis. If you are thinking of using CBD oil, then it’s important to understand your state’s laws as some states specify that CBD oil can only be used to treat specific medical conditions, such as epilepsy.
Using a CBD vape pen to vaporize your CBD hemp oil, is one of the most popular, and most effective ways to use CBD, delivering a higher bioavailability of CBD to your body than other methods. Combined with a high-quality CBD e-liquid, and a top-notch vaporizer device, you’re on your way to experiencing the many benefits of CBD.
Vape pens are popular because they can be discreet and affordable. Higher end vape pens can cost you a few hundred dollars for a fully loaded, high-tech device. Vaporizer smoke isn’t as thick or pungent as smoke from flower. However, one of the best benefits of vaporizing is that it is one of the best ways for CBD to enter your body. CBD is an organic compound and when consumed orally, it has to go through the liver before it gets into the bloodstream. During this process, much CBD is absorbed in the liver or broken down by enzymes. This is called the “first-pass effect” and thus the amount of CBD that makes it to your bloodstream can be much less than the dose you first took. On the other hand, vaporizing allows CBD to enter the bloodstream directly through your lungs. This increases the bioavailability of CBD meaning that you can get the same effects with a smaller dose. Vaporizing also gets the CBD to your bloodstream faster since it doesn’t have to pass through your stomach and liver first.
Because CBD doesn’t interact with the CB1 receptors in the way that THC does, it doesn’t get you high. CBD oil and other forms of CBD aren’t used recreationally, but their effect on the levels of anandamide in your body means they still can help to lift your mood and promote relaxation.
I have ordered cloud 9 myself, and I like it. It does help me a with my pain, the PG is part of all vape liquids, along with vegetable glycerin. Jury is still out on Long term effects, but it’s been used for years this way and I have not heard of anything negative.
In modern society, most of us live under the constant effect of chronic stress. We get tired and worried at work and school and for our families. Then those things keep us awake at night, and we get even more tired. At some point, we start to become less productive, which adds more stress and ruins our sleep even further.

The 15% bioavailability of CBD when ingested through edibles does not make sense to me. Is CBD different than THC when consumed as an edible? I have read in several publications that when THC is consumed as an edible, your liver converts the THC into 11-hydroxy-THC which is 4-5 times more potent than when THC is consumed through smoking or vaping. Anyone who has vaped vs. ate cannabis knows that eating cannabis can provide a much stronger effect. Is my assumption that all cannabinoids are processed the same way through our digestive system wrong?
When you ask yourself, “How much CBD oil should I vape?” Remember to: stay low, and go slow. Recommending a specific starting point is pretty tough, as each individual is different. Low amounts at a slow pace is perfect advice for the beginning vaper.
This singling out of CBD within cannabis is a relatively recent development. Even though it was discovered decades ago, the mass production of CBD products has only taken off in the last four or five years. (HempMeds® was there and had a hand is starting it all, click here for details.)
CBD oil appears to have a wide range of medical benefits, and although there isn’t always much evidence to base recommendations on, the conditions covered in this post just scratch the surface. There are many other conditions CBD oil could help with, including diabetes, acne, fibromyalgia, schizophrenia, insomnia and Crohn’s disease. For multiple sclerosis (MS), there is a drug called Sativex – which has equal amounts of CBD and THC – that is approved for use across Europe, but there is also potential for cannabidiol to have a benefit on its own too.
I bought a bottle of 100mg Green Roads CBD for my eGo AIO vape pen with 2mL tank. This help’s me with my stressful days and if I feel I have a headache coming on. I was thinking the taste was going to be more on the hemp-like, but it has more of a slight tart lime fruit taste. It is rather thick to put straight into my vape without anything else. I have to add something to thin out the liquid. I add a little less than 2mL of CBD liquid then either will use a mix a few drops of distilled water, true-terpenes, or VG/PG and it vapes really well. This can be also taken sublingually with 1 to 3 drops for 10 seconds to one minute. For me it helps the best with 2 to 3 drops of cbd liquid for at least a minute under the tongue before swallowing. This is a good value for the money when you compare to many of the competitors. This is effective for me and I look forward to buying more.
Hey Alison, thanks for your question! I hope CBD will help ease some of your anxiety. My best advice is to “start low and go slow”. This is common advice in the cannabis community. Since you don’t know how CBD will affect you, or how much you need, we recommend to take one inhalation of the vape at a time and see how you feel. Take 5 – 10 minutes after each inhalation and see how it feels. You can go a little faster, if you feel comfortable. Just remember to relax and take it easy. There’s no need to rush. Also, I always recommend people let their doctor or healthcare practitioner know they’re starting with CBD or any other new supplement. I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions I can try to help you with ?
