What sets CBD vape oil apart from its oral alternative is the delivery method (which we’ll cover shortly). Typically, the oil comes in cartridges or in refill bottles (depending on the equipment) that are smoked through a vaporizer – it’s as simple as that.
CBD water can have varying amounts of CBD in it, and unfortunately the amount isn’t always made clear. However, one example with lab tests available only has 2.5 mg of CBD per bottle, which really isn’t enough to make it worth .
Koi CBD e-liquid doesn’t have the same harsh, bitter taste that many other CBD vape juices have. Koi e-liquid is made with the flavor chaser in mind. Their e-liquid is available in 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1,000 mg doses. Each of them can be either vaped or taken under the tongue.
Simply put, a vaporizer is a tool that allows the user to heat up the vape contents and convert them into vapor for inhaling. There’s more than one type of vaporizer out there. Some are for oil, while others are designed for smoking plant matter (cannabis and other dry herbs) or wax. There are even ones out there – although more expensive – that can actually work with all three.
While CBD oil may seem like a straightforward topic, there is a lot of confusion on the subject, as the term CBD oil is often used as an umbrella term to describe many different oils available on the market. The truth is, there are hundreds of different oils on the market, and each oil is different from another. Some are CBD oils, some are hemp CBD, and some simply “claim” to be CBD oil when they are actually CBD hemp oil.
In general, the evidence for CBD having medical benefits is positive, but limited in terms of the number of studies and their quality. For some conditions, CBD seems to have positive effects in animals or cell models, but these effects might not necessarily translate to humans. Because federal law treats CBD as a Schedule I substance — which classifies cannabis as having no medical benefits — it isn’t easy to get funding for research, and this has hindered progress more than any lack of promising results.
Vaping CBD oil is one of the preferred methods to ease side effects of diseases, illnesses, and ailments including Leukemia, all types of Cancers, stress, anxiety, joint pain, seizures, inflammation, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and the list goes on. There are many benefits to CBD vape oil. However, the effectiveness of CBD helping with these conditions (and many others) hasn’t yet been scientifically proven, and many trials are still in pre-clinical stage.

As we mentioned earlier, the broad term “CBD vape oil” is generally used to describe any CBD-based product that has been made specifically for a vape pen. The thing you need to understand is that there are massive differences between CBD oils that you ingest orally (i.e. that you place under the tongue and swallow), and CBD vape juices that you put in a vape pen and inhale.
THC is the most well-known cannabinoid because it’s responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana. In other words, THC is the reason you get “stoned” from smoking pot — which for many people is the only reason for using marijuana. In most strains, CBD is the second-most abundant cannabinoid. It works in conjunction with THC to create some of the plant’s effects on the body, but also offers a variety of potential medical benefits in its own right.
Outside of the strict, codified legal world – where “marihuana” (spelled like that for unpleasant historical reasons) is pretty much anything you derive from the main parts of plant. The non-psychoactive nature of CBD makes it a low priority for law enforcement. But it still could be enforced.
CBD’s therapeutic potential with respect to addiction also extends to the serotonin system. Animal studies have demonstrated that CBD directly activates multiple serotonin receptors in the brain. These interactions have been implicated in its ability to reduce drug-seeking behavior. CBD’s influence on the serotonin system may also account in part for its anti-anxiety properties, which have been robustly demonstrated across both human and animal studies.
However, people who vape CBD e-liquid need to take considerable precaution when choosing their product, as the current unregulated nature of the industry is making for some VERY questionable products to hit the shelves both online and in stores/vape shops.
It’s important to note, however, that CBD oil is only permitted in states that have adopted a medical or recreationally legal approach towards cannabis. If you are thinking of using CBD oil, then it’s important to understand your state’s laws as some states specify that CBD oil can only be used to treat specific medical conditions, such as epilepsy.

However, more research has been conducted since then. One study looked at CBD in treatment-resistant epilepsy, and found that cannabidiol could reduce the frequency of seizures in children and young adults. A study from Israel looked at CBD oil for children whose epilepsy was resistant to seven or more anti-epileptic drugs. The patients weren’t compared with a control group, but almost 90% reported a reduction in seizures.
CBD oil is similar, but the main focus is having a high concentration of CBD in the finished mix. It can be made from flowers, leaves and stalks of the hemp plant or a high-CBD strain of a THC-containing marijuana plant.
There is a lot of confusion about the difference between CBD vape oil and CBD hemp oil. Cannabidiol, called CBD for short, is derived from hemp, which is the male cannabis plant. CBD hemp oil from this plant may contain trace amounts of THC, but WON’T get you high at all.
But it’s really even more complicated than that. Even if CBD oil is considered illegal in your state, the truth is that enforcement of any rules around it has been very lax. In fact, there are hardly any instances of people being arrested for selling CBD oil, and apparently no examples of people being punished for possessing it.
Although it is a cannabinoid, CBD does not directly interact with the two classical cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2). Instead, it affects signaling through CB1 and CB2 receptors indirectly. This partly explains why, in contrast to THC, CBD is non-intoxicating. In addition to its indirect influence on the CB1 and CB2 receptors, CBD can increase levels of the body’s own naturally-produced cannabinoids (known as endocannabinoids) by inhibiting the enzymes that break them down.
The confusion starts with the word cannabis. Yes, cannabidiol (or CBD) compound is found in both, cannabis and hemp but it is the THC (the other compound in cannabis) that is psychoactive and that will give you that high feeling. The reason why CBD is non-psychoactive is due to its lack of affinity for CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors are found in high concentrations in the brain, and are the pathways responsible for the psychoactive effects of THC.
Not only that, but vaping will greatly decrease the amount of time it takes for the CBD in your body to become active, since you don’t have to wait for it to travel through your gut. By vaporizing a CBD e-liquid or high-CBD concentrate, you could potentially feel its effects 30 to 60 minutes faster. This makes vaping CBD an extremely efficient delivery method.
Vaping cannabidiol oil is among the most preferred methods for easing the side effects of illnesses like cancer, leukemia, joint pain, sleep apnea, inflammation, seizures, stress, and high blood pressure, among others. The effectiveness of cannabidiol in improving the symptoms of these diseases is yet to be proven scientifically and many trials are currently in the pre-clinical stage.

THC works directly on your cannabinoid receptors (called CB1 and CB2) to create its effects. It’s chemically similar to one of your endocannabinoids, called anandamide (the “bliss molecule”), so it can interact with the cannabinoid receptors intended for it. Think about it like a key fitting in a lock – provided certain parts match up, it can turn. This is how THC gets you high.
CBD Drip provides full-spectrum cannabidiol, which means they extract all of the cannabinoids out of the hemp plant, instead of using isolated CBD like other brands such as Koi. They also do third-party testing on products to ensure that they maintain their Clean Green Certified status.
CBD has the potential to positively affect a lot of things, from pain perception to anxiety, nausea and mood. These effects are explored in more detail in these papers from the journal Epilepsia and the British Journal of Pharmacology. And a simpler but still comprehensive explanation can be found on the Elixinol website.
Alexis – I vape the oil but know that it is safe to use the liquid orally. Look for “sublingual” CBD oil. (Sublingual means under the tongue). I would imagine that the regular vaping oil would be fine to use orally as well as I put some water in my nearly empty bottles and put it in my mouth and swallow it up. I think that the difference is that the vape oil is specifically designed for smoking. Putting it in the mouth would be fine as well. That’s my 2-cents! Take care! Debbe
CBD wax is an extract with a waxy texture, usually full-spectrum and with terpenes included. This is sometimes referred to as CBD dabs, but shatter, isolate, wax and other forms of concentrate (such as “crumble”) can all be used for dabbing.
Cannabinoids interact with internal cannabinoid receptors in your body. That’s because they’re similar in structure to “endocannabinoids,” which are your body’s own naturally produced cannabinoids. The human body has a complex internal system of cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors that regulate many functions.
Through a precise distillation process using MCT (fractionated coconut oil), we are able to isolate a specific medium chain triglyceride formula which is easily converted into ketones (a substance produced when the body breaks down fat). The isolation of these unique chains, assists in the absorption of cannabinoids and terpenes into the bloodstream, delivering a faster, healthier and more effective way to administer CBD.
